ACONITUM CAMMARUM by Dr. James Joseph
ACONITUM CAMMARUM
Botanical name:
Aconitum cammarum Linn
Synonyms:
Aconitum decorum Reichh, Aconitum ealtatumBeruh
Occurance and distribution:
Europe, especially in Hungary.
Homoeopathic medicinal prover:
Schroff.
Parts used:
Roots.
Chemical constituents:
Aconitine, indaaconitine, mesaconintine, neoline, songramine, deoxyaconitine, hypoacontine, aconine, ephedrine. Roots containing
vit-c and starch.
Description:
It is herbup to 1 m in height. Root globular, tuberous. Leaf with short, bluntish lobe, deeply cut but not to the base having larger undivided area and with broader segments. Inflorescence usually branched, few flowered, terminal raceme or panicle or loose spike, somewhat short and nearly like laterals. Flowers purple, blue or reddish, variegated or white. Sepals deciduous, helmet hemispherical or wedge shaped, closed; petals with inflexed or hooked spur. Fruit a follicle; seeds 3 angled, angle not winged.
Cultivation and collection:
Aconitum cammarum prefers moisture retentive soil in shade; plants will also thrive in a sunny position if the soil is sufficiently damp throughout the growing season. Propagate by division when dormant; by seed sown under cover in spring. Remove dead flower heads to encourage a second crop of flowers. Plants are lifted in autumn and young, thick roots are removed before replanting.
Preparation:
a) Mother tincture drug strength 1/10
Aconitum cammarum in coarse powder 100 g
Purified water 350ml
Strong alcohol 685 ml
To make one liters of mother tincture.
b) Potencies:2x to contain one part mother tincture, 3 parts purified water, 6 parts strong alcohol. 3x and higher with dispensing alcohol.
Non Homoeopathic action:
· Toxicology:Numbness and tingling in the mouth, abdominal pain, vomiting, purging, tremor, occasional delirium,dyspnoea ending in syncope.
Homoeopathic action:
· Patient is indifferent, disturbed thought and power of concentration, weak memory.
· Fear of death.
· Face blackish-blue, lips blue and swollen; sensation of contraction of face.
· Taste and sensation diminished. Excessive salivation.
· Paralysis of tongue and sensation of crawling.
· Headache aggravated by bending body forward.
· Burning in abdomen and sensation of crawling round in it.
· Violent eructations, inclination to vomit without vomiting.
· Voice becomes hoarse and rough.
· Respirations slow difficult. Pulse frequent slow irregular and intermittent.
Duration of action:
Five to six hours
Prescribed potency:
3x and higher.

If she cannot control it comes out as hysterical crying, when she regains control, she will appear as if nothing has happened.
Feels crying as the worst thing to do, will go some where else to cry.
Hysterical sobbing and crying, convulsion, fainting, etc.
Nice calm words during a crisis will make her worse.
Irritable
- · She is angered easily, quarrelsome, they may insult others with words. In her grief, she will say unjust things, accuse unjustly, because she is under stress.
- · No humbleness in ignatia, if she apologizes in her outbreak, she is not calm about it. When she apologizes she mean logically, but not emotionally.
Relationship
- Get easily hurt in a relationship; as a result she may get nasty, then gentle, then nasty. So the man gets tired of her, she then become overwhelmed by emotions.
She is changeable.
In a love affair, she will suppress until one day, it will come out in hysterical reaction.
She will accuse the man of coldness, not showing enough attention.
Sensitive women in our society, forced to be aggressive.
She meets her first love, will believe in him totally.
If the man show little indifference, or did not show total attention, she become silent and broody.

- She will imagines all stories about her husband being with a woman, all kind of stories about what her husband is doing. But unlike Lachesis she will keep it to herself. She will feel absolutely degraded to make a scene.

- She will thinking of committing suicide, but she wont do it, she is too logical.
