A Case of SLE

Mr.Kumareshan a 58 year old gentle man hailing from koilpetti Thamil Nadu consulted me on 15th September 2011. He was under the treatment of an orthopedic surgeon at Madurai for rheumatism.
His Anti Ds DNA was negative and ANA (Anti-Nuclear Antibody) was positive. (See Lab Result – 1) It was a diagnosed case of SLE and he was under steroid and No steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. As he got an assurance from orthopedic surgeon that he will be cured within 2 months he was sent back and was advised to report after 2 months. He was also told to repeat ANA after 2 months. He went back and reported on 15/11/2011 with lab report. (See Lab result 2). He was unable to walk because of pain in both knee and ankle and was still under allopathic medicines. All most all joints are swollen and painful. Analgesics gives temporary relief only and not effective in repetition. As usual the case has been evaluated for constitutional treatment. So kumarashan was told to narrate his story and simulataniously rubics has been taken. Kumareshan was born and bought up in a poor family at Koilpetti Thamilnadu. Kumereshans childhood was little bit miserable as his father had a stroke when he studied in 6th standard. Her mother who is a nice singer of his village took the responsibility of 5 children and she made it wonderfully through her divine talent of singing. But their mother never allows them to sing other than in school as she believes that singing outside home or school is singing for money. Immediately after completion of his 10th standard he was called by a leading political party of his state to lead a student’s forum in his village. He was not allowed to study further by the politicians. He became a member of the local body at the age of 20 then to a district leader in Madurai soon. (MIND - POLITICS - ability for) He became a voracious speaker of his party and was interested in travelling as well as public speaking that made him a state level leader soon. His mother stopped singing for money but continue it as worship after the death of his father. His life grows with the fragrance of two kids’ one male and the other female. But unfortunately he encountered a confrontation with a top level leader in his party. Kumareshan received a good round of applause in a meeting than his leader in a public meeting. That made his leader jealous to him and from that day onwards he was tortured by the satellites of the top level leader in his party. He was discounted than anybody and was sidelined to a corner in his party. A pain and numbness started in his hand that leads to pan under left scapula within few months. But he decided one thing from the very beginning of his entry to new party that he will quit politics within three years. . A feline farm exclusively for cats is the unique and the first of its kind in Tamil Nadu and that was solely cared by him. He bought cats from Europe worth 50,000 to 1, 00,000 Indian rupees! (MIND - ANIMALS - love for animals – cats). Simultaneously he reduced the time spending for politics & speeches. He ended his political carrier at his peak in his new party just after 2 years. As he stopped travelling much and concentrated in his business that pains spreads to all most all joints. (GENERALS - SEDENTARY habits). His business kingdom spreds it’s wing all over Tamilnadu and started a new educational business at Madurai. Mudurai was not fit for him as his colleagues in old party were there to welcome him with dirty politics. He was attacked from all corners. He literally failed in that business because of the interference of his old collogues in big political party. He lost everything including his health.(MIND - AILMENTS FROM - business failure). He sold his farm, his palace like house and shifted to a rental house. His mother started singing for money again. He also joined with his mother for music programmes on and off. But he resilient back like a bouncing ball within six munths and started a printing press by taking loan from a local bank. He turned his memory back to his political lime light. Kumareshan started writing his old speeches as articles and evaluated present political scenario in his state comparing with his era in which he was active in politics. These books made a political upside-down change in his district and nearby districts. His book made waves in society as he wrote it with freedom of righting truth. He was about to become an MLA of his assembly constituency but he turned in to musicagain! He joined with his mother for conducting musical entertainment programmes. He mercilessly refused the offer for becoming a member of Thamil Nadu Legislative assembly and become a popular singer! Music was his passion in this episode! Now he is stepping back from everything because of pain and sufferings and is planning to go back for writing by appointing a dictator. His paternal brother died of Myocardial Infarction and a paternal sister died of cerebral thrombosis. His paternal grandparents died earlier because of some unknown disease. His maternal sisters are nice artists and his maternal grandparents are alive with almost good health. Aversion to milk, increased perspiration and felling of chilliness during pain are the additional information squeezed through leading questions. Kumareshan is a self-made determined leader and an artist who wants changes always and will bounce back like a cat to the previous condition in any calamity. Plan of Treatment Antimiasmatic treatment was planned and it was decided to give drugs to reduce pain if necessary. 1 year treatment and follow up was planned and the ultimatum of treatment has fixed as 15/09/2012 and the same was told to patient. Selection of remedy. Remedy selected on the basis of following things. Kumareshan is born to a syphilitic father and a psoric mother. So the inherited miasm is Psoric-Syphilitic i.e Tubercular. His acquired miasm is also tubercular as he change from one profession to other and never get satisfied in anything and is having art and love for cats. Nerest available anti-tubercular remedy in person level repertorisation is TUBERCULINUM itself. Tuberculinum comes under Chaotic as well as melancholic temperament in combination too. A destructive disease with lot of dynamic functional symptom further confirms miasm and remedy. As Tuberculinum indicated in every sense drugs to reduce pain are avoided. Monthly follow ups done. SL BD BT BD Advised for ANA investigation. 8/7/12 No complaint active and engaged in social works business. ANA – Negative (See Lab Result 3) No Medicine advised to discontinue medicines and report symptoms if any over telephone and investigate, ANA, Anti Ds DNA, ACCP every 3 months for 1 year and in every 6 months thereafter for 5 years and to report symptoms if any.
